As a child, I discovered the strength of art and imagination through making drawings of my favorite cartoon and comic book characters filling endless amounts of notebooks. The more media I consumed, the more my imagination ignited, and I knew that making art was something I needed to do. As I aged this did not go away and I began to learn about art history, the elements of art, developing techniques in painting, and obtaining a B.A. in Art from West Virginia State University. Many things inspire my work from music, nature, video games, to some of my favorite modern day artists like Greg “Craola” Simpkins and Yoshitani Amano. I currently create paintings both traditional and digital for various projects including illustrations and murals throughout West Virginia. My paintings contain a variety of themes, but overall, they revolve around Escapism. I want my paintings to inspire and ignite the imaginations of the people am lucky enough to have enjoyed them.
